Our Journey of Excellence
Every organization has a story. Ours is one of dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the individuals and families we were privileged to serve.
In 2003, John and Amy Reyna opened their first licensed residential home with a simple vision: to create a home where individuals with developmental disabilities would be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. That vision quickly grew into a commitment to providing quality services that exceeded expectations—not because recognition was the goal, but because every individual deserved the very best care possible.
Over the years, that commitment led to the expansion of Reyna Group Home from one licensed home to multiple residential programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities, intensive behavioral needs, medical complexities, and foster children. Every new program brought new opportunities to learn, improve, and raise the standard of care.
Quality was never viewed as a destination—it became part of the organization’s culture.
Throughout the years, Reyna Group Home was consistently recognized for excellence in compliance, quality improvement, leadership, and service. The organization earned multiple Delmarva Foundation “Achieving” designations, numerous 100% Provider Discovery Review (PDR) scores, and a 100% Department of Children and Families Constant Quality Improvement (CQI) review. In 2008, Reyna Group Home was recognized as the highest-scoring group home in Palm Beach County for approximately 18 months and ranked among the top-performing providers in the State of Florida.
Recognition extended beyond compliance. John and Amy Reyna were honored with the Florida Coalition for Children’s Foster Parents of the Year Award for their commitment to helping children who had experienced multiple failed placements successfully reunify with their family. Both were also recognized for their volunteer leadership through the Florida Local Advocacy Council, reflecting a commitment to improving services not only within their own organization but throughout the provider community.
These accomplishments were never achieved by one person alone. They were made possible through dedicated employees, collaborative partnerships, supportive families, and individuals who inspired continuous learning and growth every day.
As experienced providers, John and Amy often found themselves answering questions from other organizations seeking guidance. They recognized that many providers simply wanted a trusted resource—someone who understood the realities of operating licensed programs and who was willing to share practical knowledge without judgment.
That commitment to supporting others became the foundation of Diversity Consultation Services.
Today, Diversity Consultation Services continues that same philosophy by providing professional consultation, organizational support, policy development, documentation assistance, and staff training. While regulations and best practices continue to evolve, our commitment remains the same: to provide thoughtful guidance, practical solutions, and individualized support rooted in real-world experience.
Awards and recognition are meaningful milestones, but they are not what define us. What defines us are the relationships we have built, the organizations we have supported, and the opportunity to help others strengthen the quality of services they provide.
Our goal isn’t simply to answer questions—it’s to help organizations build stronger programs, support their staff, and provide quality services with confidence. We look forward to being a trusted resource on your journey.
